My son and I drove from Upstate NY to Cleveland and wanted to find somewhere to get 18 in a long the way. Played here today and what a great course. The course was in great shape, the greens exceptional and fast. Staff very friendly. Liked it so much that we are planning to go again the next time we go through Erie. Highly recommend.

First time playing here and will definitely be back. Reasonable price. The Tees, greens, and fairways are some of the best Iβve played all year. If youβre thinking about playing here, do it.

I have not played this course in over 20 years and it is in way better shape than it used to be. The greens are very pure and challenging. They had a multitude of pin placements. Some were in ideal locations and others were more challenging. I will definitely be back this year.

Being a local, I have played this course a couple times each summer and my personal experience overall have been hit or miss over the years. I'll start with the positives being the staff is very friendly and tee time availability/accessibility is great. My biggest con of this course is the ridiculous price for the quality of the course and its amenities. 9 holes on the weekend is $32 which is about the same or very close to 18 holes on other courses in the surrounding area! 18 holes is $45 which compared to the $32 you spend for 9 makes $45 look like a deal. I understand those who play 18 should get a better deal but I mean cmon 9 holes in the Erie area should NOT be over 30 EVER. I feel a more reasonable price is $25. I would say the only thing this course ever had going for it is the challenging layout and the quality of the greens and fairways. For the hefty price, I would expect more in the following areas: full practice range (not turf), fully paved cart paths (there are major holes and boulders right in the middle of the way!), cart club covers, better maintained rough (long, muddy in areas but bone dry and hard in other spots), and well-maintained tee boxes (I mean some tee

I had a great playing this course today. Joe make me feel like a was local. The course was wet due to heavy rains the night before (all courses in the area were wet) and for the most part it did change the hitting conditions. The Pro Shop was nice with a good selections of clothes and equipment. The greens were great shape, with very good fairways (I didn't lose many balls, other then poor play on my part). The carts were clean and in good shape (USB charger in cart). Staff and other players were very friendly. I understand this place has new ownership and they are planning to add a short game area and a hitting net to warm up in the next year. Currently no sand traps (no complaints from me). FYI if your using a GPS golf watch, the course currently comes up under Crab Apple Ridge Golf Course and not The Ridge Golf Course (as of 08/14/2021), I'm assuming this will change next year as they update the design. I love the online tee time option, as I booked after business hours once I got in town. I wish they had coffee available this morning (Saturday). I will be back again the next time I'm in the area. Thanks!
